About Us

Rick is the head and co-founder of Mustard Seed Ministries. Before this current ministry venture, Rick pastored El Bethel United Church for over five years. It was during his season as pastoring the small family church when Rick received the vision for Mustard Seed Ministries. Staying true to the call of Christ on his life, he became a member of a trusted pastors' association, started up Mustard Seed Ministries, and eventually resigned from the church he loved so dearly. He continues to follow the call with various outreach strategies, bible study, a television ministry, and, most importantly, simply by being faithful to any ministry call God asks of him. Moreover, Rick is currently starting up Rustic Rick’s Flea Market Finds in order to fund various outreaches, particularly, our TV program, Keeping It Real, which can be seen on coacb.org Tuesday nights at 6:30 or channel TV 39 that airs out of Marion, Ohio. Additionally, each program will be uploaded to Youtube. As for Rustic Rick’s, feel free to check it out on our Rustic Rick's FaceBook page.

Sherri, co-founder of Mustard Seed Ministries, is an author and teacher. Sherri co pastored with Rick at El Bethel United Church where she taught children's church, vacation bible school, and held women's bible studies. After resigning from El Bethel United Church, Sherri went on to graduate from college with a master's degree of arts in English. She has published a book, A Divided Church in a Twisted World, and teaches at a local college.

Currently Mustard Seed Ministries provides a biblical foundation to those young in the faith in order to fulfill the command of Jesus as seen in Matthew 28:19-20, "Go therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you... " Further, they provide food to the needy, prayer for the sick and afflicted, and other various needs God asks of them. To put it short, they fulfill the words of James which can be seen in his epistle. As the scripture states, "Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world" (James 1:27).

The ultimate goal and motto of Mustard Seed Ministries is to be about "Planting Seeds of Faith Across the Nation, One Seed at a Time."
